How to Remove Write Protection
- Open Start Menu and then to 'Run', type rededit and press 'Enter'. Now you will be able to see the registry editor.
- Now, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES and then to System. Then go to CurrentControlSet. There click on Control and go to StorageDevicePolicies
The whole process is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/StorageDevicePolicies
There, double click the key Write Protect in the right pane and set the value to zero.
That's it. You're done.
