Intex Aqua 5.0 Specs, Pros and Cons

Intex Aqua Specs, Pros and Cons

Pros
 • If you're looking for a phone with a music playback, this has got to be it. Bass is rendered with a distinct thump, and music sounds fantastically clear and loud.
 • This also has a good build quality with a pearl-white back plate and a nice metallic silvery trim around the edge. It feels substantial to hold and definitely seems to be worth more than its price.
 • Its touchscreen is quite responsive to taps and swipes. The antenna latches to networks better than any other phone, to be frank. And that results in better web browsing during commutes when you're moving from one tower to another.
 • Battery life is good and a full charge will last for 15 hours with Wi-Fi use, gaming,. some GPS, web browsing and phone calls.
Cons
 • The display is dull and colors look washed away and its almost a deal breaker. Legibility in sunlight is not that good and viewing angles ain't that great either.
 • While calls sound clear, they suffer from low volume.
 • This device's sharp-edged design, devoid of ergonomic curves, makes it slightly unwieldy to use. People with smaller hands might find this device uncomfortable to handle.
Specs
 • 5-inch touchscreen, 800x480 pixels
 • 1GHz dual-core
 • 5MP camera, VGA front
 • 4GB internal memory, microSD up to 32GB

Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2 Specs, Pros and Cons

Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2 Pros and Cons, Specs

Pros
 • The IPS screen delivers good viewing angles and clear visibility in sunlight, making it comfortable to read books, browse on commutes while walking on the road. Well, you can see a faint at certain grid at certain angles but that ain't a deal-breaker.
 • This feels like premium phone. The build quality is quite good, it's surprisingly light and the curved edges and textured back make it easier to hold such a large phone.
 • This will get through a full day without needing to charge.
 • The camera is decent, although auto mode is not it's strong point.
Cons
 • Despite a dual-core processor, this one has a sluggish interface. Even some of the games struggles to work on this phone.
 • The phone shutters while multi-tasking between several heavy apps.
 • The antenna is quite weak, dropping calls frequently and failing to latch on to 3G in placers where other phones fared well.
 • The audio is deplorable. Whether you are talking on the phone or listening music, the volume is too low and the sound quality is bad. And, the bundled earphones are not the best.
 • The camera juts out at the back of the phone, so the lens is susceptible to scratches. And, this means that the phone never lies down flat and so has the irritating wobble every time it vibrates.
Specs
 • 5-inch touchscreen, 800x480pixcels
 • 1GHz dual-core processor
 • 8MP Primary camera, VGA front camera
 • 4GB internal memory, microSD up to 32GB
 • 512MB RAM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB
 • GPS, A-GPS, Dual SIM (GSM+GSM)
 • 147x76.5x9.7mm, 168grams
 • Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich
 • 2000mAh battery (14 hours average usage)

Wicked Leak Wammy Note Specs, Pros and Cons

Wicked Leak Wammy Note Pros, Cons and Specs

Pros
 • This runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean, the later of the Androids. The interface is smoother, and the notification bar includes features like returning a missed call.
 • The battery life of Wammy Note is good with about 15 hours of average usage when used with lots of 3G, Wi-Fi, browsing and reading, and plenty of phone calls. The package includes a second 2500mAh battery, making sure you'll never run out of battery.
Cons
 • The screen is a disaster. It's a fingerprint magnet, has washed out colors, and is dull overall. It is not very responsive with touches.
 • The phone heats up quickly and it's quite heavy. And this makes it inconvenient to use.
 • The antenna is really bad at catching signals ad the call quality - both for talking and listening - is not that good.
 • There are small glitches throughout, which piled up to make for an annoying experience. For example, when on a phone call, the red button to hang a call is nowhere to be found. Then there's the built-in analog TV antenna that doesn't seem to catch any channel.
 • The camera is pretty much useless, delivering unstable images only in direct sunlight. All other photos are grainy, don't capture the right colors, and are out of focus.
Specs
 • 5-inch touchscreen, 800x480 pixels
 • 1GHz dual core
 • 8MP primary camera and 1.3mp front camera
 • 4GB, microSD up to 32GB

Facebook Open Graph Redirect - Protects your privacy

Most of us use a lot of applications in Facebook. In fact, they are the means of passing time if there's no one online. But before using any app, we gotta do a lot of things that the app asks you to, accept a lot of things and then provide access to our personal information, which is the worst part. Who would like to do all these just for the sake of using an app? And if you install, then when you try opening an applications, you are redirected to several locations, and end up somewhere else. Its kind of irritating. Apart from these issues, this whole process is time consuming. And this forces you to quit the app even though you wanna use it. Even though a person has got hell lot of patience and continues with the process till the end and ends up being successful in using the app, his timeline will be filled with irrelevant posts. I have a good news for all such people who wanna use apps without any of these problems. So, here I go.

Facebook Open Graph Redirect

Here I come with an application called 'Facebook Open Graph Redirect'. It is a Google Chrome Plug-in. So, it doesn't work with other browsers. It allows users to read content shared by applications that enable social sharing. This plug-in allows Facebook users to read the content that is shared by their friends through Facebook enabled applications without going through whole process. This app works with most the Facebook apps that are linked with Washington Post, Yahoo etc.

Firefox Users? Don't worry

Are you a Firefox User? Don't worry because developers have created a similar plug-in for Firefox Browser as well.

Send Smileys and Pictures in Facebook

Facebook chat, the only thing which we are not contented about, we always want something new. We don't care about the number of features it has (though we use them), we always kind of wait for the new one. Well, we discussed in my previous posts about giving a new customized a new look to Facebook chat. But, there, we didn't completely discuss every single thing. And one such thing is that you can insert images of your own choice in your Facebook chat. Well, you can share pics, videos and other things on your wall and they are public. So, here's the solution to share pics, videos etc. personally.

There are many people who know the missing pieces of Facebook, Youtube, Google Chrome and other major sites and softwares. And these sites and softwares are working hard to provide their users with the best. If you wanna send an image or a smiley or any such things, you can take help of the site Facebook Smiley Chat Codes. Though this site is a smiley devoted website, it has lot more than smileys.
The above image shows the process of sending pctures and smileys to friends. Seems pretty simple, ain't it? And, yeah, it is.

As soon as you enter the site, if you don't get the above 3 steps, click on 'Facebook Smiley Chat Codes' on the top left corner. You can get it there.
The code doesn't come as soon as you select an image and upload it. It takes some time to develop the code. And this depends on the size, quality etc. After getting the code, just copy it and hit enter. That's it.

Here's the video tutorial.

Mentioning in Blogger - The New Feature

Well, here I come with Google's new cool feature. And that is you can 'Mention' people on Google Plus in your blogger posts. Sounds cool, ain't it? Plus, this is an effective way to let the person know that you're referring to them in your post. Seems similar to that of Facebook's tagging, ain't it? The other thing about this is you can tag a person or a Google Plus page even if they don't follow you. But this depends on how they have configured their Google Plus settings. They might receive a notification about mention after you publish the post.

Mentioning others

You can do this in the same way as you mention a person in the comment i.e., Just type '+' or '@' followed by the name or page. As you are typing the name, you'll see a list of names appear below. You can select the person or page that you'd like to mention. This feature's already in Google Plus. If you've configured your settings to share your blog posts to Google Plus, you'll see that the names of the people you've mentioned in your post will be automatically added to the share box.

But, to use this feature, first you've to upgrade your blogger profile to a Google+ profile.

How does it work?

As said, this needs your Blogger's integration with Google Plus. Talking out of the post, this helps you spread your blog and engage with your readers on a more intimate level. I'd suggest you to integrate your Blogger with Google Plus. Coming back to the post, as said, if you want to mention someone or a page in a post, you can do that by using '+' or '@' followed by their name. They'll be able to see the entire post on which they were mentioned even if the post was not shared with them.

This feature is particularly useful when you are on a huge post and you want to mention/address someone specifically, or when you want to add someone to a post.

For instance, if I'm on post about my past and I want to tag a person who inspired me then I would mention the person's page or name in my post.

To mention someone in a post:
1. Type +[person's name] or @[person's name]. You can also type their email address instead of their name.
2. As you type, an autocomplete list of peopel will appear.
3. Select the person you want to mention.

Adding Favicon In Blogger

In my previous post, I discussed about adding a favicon to blogger. Well, here's the another way. This way is way too simple and a perfect way to follow for beginners. This process may seem a bit silly, but it works :). So here I Go.

First download your favicon in any of the image formats like png, gif, etc. Then upload the image to blogger and copy the link given by it.

Then, search for

<b:skin>/*

in your template's html. To edit your template html, First click on the 'upward arrow mark' beside your blog in the control panel and then select 'Template'. Then click on the 'edit html' option. Now you get the html.
Then search for the above code.

Above the code, paste the following code.

and replace the 'IMAGE URL HERE' with the url which we copied earlier.
(For Video Tutorial Click Here)

That's it. You're done. Just save the template and now you have a blog with a favicon.

Adding Favicon To Your Blog

Well, I'm back again. Now, I'm working on favicons. So I'm on my way to list all the sites. But before, I thought of making a post about adding a favicon to a blog. Because, it doesn't make sense when you know how to make a favicon but don't know how to use it. So, here I go and, by the way, you can refer my post about creating favicons to create a perfect favicon for your site.

Adding a Favicon

Create your favicon by using one of the tools available. You can directly upload your image or create a new one. After uploading an image or creating a favicon you can download the automatically-converted-icon form of the favicon and save it to your desktop.

Next, you need to upload it to some host like Favicon Hosting and Genarator etc. You can even get a lot of hosting sites online to host .ico files. Once you upload it to a host, you get a direct URL to the favicon file.

Now go to your blogger dashboard > layout > Edit html.
There look for the code

<data:blog.pagetitle/>

<data:blog.pagetitle/>
and add the below code just after the above one.

and replace the 'ICON FILE URL' with the URL of your icon file.
Take care that the code you paste is in between
<data:blog.pagetitle/>
<data:blog.pagetitle/>
<data:blog.pagetitle/>

Your Code
/*

If you are unable to follow the above process, here's another way.

Samsonite Torus Solar Backpack Review

Here I come with this Samsonite Torus Solar Backpack. It recharges your gadgets, carries your things and what more it does this with the help of a solar panel. Sounds cool, ain't it? The primary need of all modern gadgets is battery cause every portable gadget needs one. This Torus Solar backpack, as said, packs a solar charger to power up your gadgets on the move. So whether you are moving about the city or trekking, your gadgets in bag are always charger and ready.

Pros
 • The battery reservoir in this backpack works well and charges almost all handsets and cameras to at least 50%
 • This bag doesn't need to be facing sunlight all the time. As long as the prominent light source is sun, it'll keep charging, albeit at slower rate.
 • The charging unit is detachable, so if you're trekking, you can leave your bulky backpack at the camp while you travel with the solar pack to keep your gadgets charged.
Cons
 • The time taken to charge up the built-in battery is excruciating. Samsonite claims it takes 4 hours for a full charge, but it, more or less, takes 16 hours when outdoors.
 • The battery is too small to power-up laptops and high-end tabs fully.
 • Having slots for every type of gadget makes the Torus big and bulky. And the place left for other stuff is little. The solar charger is not light. So, you might end up having a heavy backpack that may not let you carry everything you need
Specs
 • Special slots for laptop, tablet, mobile, camera
 • Detachable solar panel zip pouch
 • 1600mAh battery
 • Connectors for micro USB and two other common pin sizes for laptops, phones and tabs
 • Made from 900D and 1680D polyester, lined with high-density polyester

Protonixs Electropen Specs, Pros and Cons

Protonics has made device which converts your scribbles into an image and PDF file when you connect it to your computer. You can use this as your computer mouse even. This is an instrument that takes what you write and transforms it into a high-tech digitalizer. Pin the receiver onto the paper you are writing on, switch it on and you're ready to go.

Pros
 • When used with PC, this instrument can be used as a mouse, complete with a button to click.
 • The pen's battery is tremendous. It just goes on and on.
Cons
 • While you're using this, the only thing to be careful is to not have anything come between the pen and the receiver.
 • This device is not pressure sensitive. So you can't sketch using this device as a stylus.
 • The rechargeable base unit need to be recharged about every 8 hours of use.
 • This device doesn't work if you use wider or longer paper (than A4 sheet).
 • It is kind of weird to pin the base unit on a notebook, as it makes it irksome to turn pages. Also, when you're done writing on a page, you have to press the On/Off button on the base unit to save the page. Not only does it disrupt your flow, but if you forget and start on the next page, you might lose your data or mix it up.
 • The bundled Note Manager software fails to turn handwriting to text. The point of this Electropen is to digitalize notes. But you still get your get your handwriting in an image file or PDF but not as editable digital text.
Specs
 • Ultrasound and Infrared connection
 • Works only with A4 sheets
 • Standard Refill (67mm long, 2.35 mm diameter)

Search for Images of exact size in Google

Previously, Google Images had an option to search images of particular size or resolution. For example, if you're searching for a wallpaper and nothing fits your screen, you can select the resolution or size of wallpaper you need. It just displays the images with those exact dimensions.

But the new Google Images have no such option to search for images of particular dimensions. But don't worry cause there's a solution. You can limit your search to an exact size by doing the following. While searching for an image, lets say, of resolution WidthxHeight, search for "IMAGENAME:WidthxHeight".

For example, if you wanna search for Eminem's images to use them as your wallpaper and your screen resolution is 1920x1080 then search for "Eminem:1920x1080". Results of the search are given in the pic below.

Here's the video tutorial.

HTC 8X Review, Specs, Pros and Cons

Here comes another device that you would love to have. Its the HTC 8X. Well, starting with the operating system, it runs on Windows Phone 8 (WP8). The WP 8 is a work of art and this device is a perfect representation of what Microsoft is bringing to that market with its updated mobile OS. Just like the previous versions WP 8, looks beautiful using simple fonts and lines to create a simple 2D user interface that's defined by lots of square boxes that Microsoft call tiles. These so called tiles, which replace icons, are much bigger and can also display nuggets of information. For example, the Mail tile can show number of unread emails.

This one scores on design, both in hardware and software. Windows 8 is a beautiful and intuitive for people who didn't use smartphones and are using them for the first time. For Windows 8 PC users, this handset will offer tight integration especially with cloud services like SkyDrive, the People app, etc. If you're looking for a phone with great camera, this is definitely not it. The app store doesn't compare to that of iOS or Android. Power users will be unsatisfied with the lack of robust notification system and proper multitasking. Overall, this phone falls short of comparably priced phones like Samsung Galaxy S III or the HTC One X.

Pros
 • This is a stylish handset. The most beautiful part about this phone is its tapered edges. This makes it look slimmer than it actually is. Build quality is top class and the phone feels premium.
 • The 2.1MP front cam has an ultra-wide lens. If you video chat very often, you will love how much it can accommodate in its scope.
 • WP8 is fast. There is no lag when you open apps or fire up the camera. Web-browsing is smooth, Maps app, for which Microsoft is using Nokia's data in India, is detailed and covers all well-known areas.
 • The design and interface in WP8 is unique and beautiful. It is also quite intuitive and apps like Mail, SMS or People (contacts) are easy to use.
Cons
 • While WP 8 is a define improvement over WP 7.5, in many ways it remains the same old OS. It still lacks a proper multitasking system.
 • The apps, barring a few like Music and SkyDrive, don't run in the background. In WP 8 apps are suspended. In other words, they are paused. For apps like Rowi, which are supposed to run continuously to keep you updated with tweets, it doesn't work.
 • There is no proper notification center in WP 8. The home screen is limited to show notifications from six apps - and to see or clear these notifications, user has to go into those respective apps.
 • Only handful of apps and games when compared to those available on iPhone or high-end Android phones.
 • The battery life is average. On 3G, the phone lasts for around 9 to 10 hours when used for making an hour call, some gaming, email, Twitter and some photography.
 • The primary shooter is below average. The pictures captured through 8X had excessive smoothening and lack details.

Share Blog updates on Google Plus

Social media promotion is every blogger's need to spread its readership. And this is the reason why bloggers need to share their awesome content so that people around the world can know about it. Now, Google's Google Plus came up with a new feature. Google recently realeased the Google takeout service that lets you merge two Google Plus accounts together. Now, you can connect your Google Plus account with Blogger to easily share your posts and also gain recognition for your work on social media. A share box will automatically appear when you publish a post which lets share your content. Here comes the worst part, it works only for blogger blogs and is not available for WordPress or TypePad or any other publishing platforms.

Getting started
This trick will work only if you have your Google Plus and Blogger profiles under the same Google Account with a common name. If both your profiles are under one account, then you are lucky. Simply log in to your blogger account, and go to your blog dashboard. In the top-right region of screen, you will see a cog icon. Click on the Cog and select the option 'Connect to Google+'. Click on that and you will see a confirmation screen. Now, you are ready to make the switch. Just check the 'I've read........' box and click switch. If in the future, you want to disconnect the two accounts and revert to your blogger profile, you can simply disconnect by using the settings option (Cog option).

Sharing posts
Once your posts are linked, you will see an option to share your posts right from your Blogger dashboard. This will also let you share posts whenever you want, without having to deal with auto pop-ups. Besides this, whenever you publish a post, you will see a pop-up box appear that has sharing options. You can add a comment as you like. You can also choose which circles you want to share the post with. By default, the option will be set to public.

Disabling Share Box
If you don't like this sharing box, you can simply disable it by going into Settings and then to Posts and Comments.

Note :- This feature will not be available to you if you have adult content on your blog.
